A Pharmacist and a Global business manager by profession, Priya started training in Bharatanatyam at the age of 3 in Chennai, India under the tutelage of eminent gurus including Guru Sri. Adyar. K. Lakshman in the Kalakshetra baani.  Since her Arangetram at 8, Priya has performed at prestigious sabhas and dance festivals in and around Chennai, New York and Seattle.  Priya has served as teacher, member of the artistic team and as rehearsals director at From Within Academy, where she continued learning the finer nuances of Bharatanatyam from Smt. Subhashini Santhanam.  Besides dance, Priya derives utmost joy and satisfaction in engaging in activities relating to Indian culture, heritage and spirituality. Priya lives with her family in Tonka Bay, MN and enjoys cooking, kayaking and traveling.  Priya is the founder and primary instructor at Flute 'n Feather Dance Company.

Aparna was introduced to Bharatanatyam at age 4, when she came under the tutelage of her Guru Nadanabhooshanam Sri. Vinayachandran, in Trivandrum, India. She did her Arangetram at age 9, and has performed at various dance festivals in South India. A well-rounded musician, trained in Carnatic Vocal music and violin, Aparna continues to enthrall audiences with her music and dance performances in Seattle and other cities in the USA.  The vibrant music that we hear while on this website is Aparna's exclusive rendition!  Best described as a connoisseur of art and lifestyle, Aparna enjoys cooking, interior decoration and all fine arts.  Aparna is a co-teacher volunteer and a member of the artistic team at Flute 'n Feather Dance Company.

Curiosity kills the cat goes the common saying…but not for Pavi. Pavi thrives on learning and exploring new things. She believes in giving everything in life a shot and discovering likes and dislikes in the process.  Pavi learnt Bharatanatyam in elementary school and Jazz Ballet in High school. She has performed at several school, college and corporate performances. Pavi loves spending time with children and organizing events for both adults and children. She recently moved to Minneapolis with her husband and is ready to begin another adventure which will leverage and enhance her skills as a dancer, teaching assistant and a business manager at Flute 'n Feather.
